Our heritage
FROM ACHOLILAND
TO THE ROCKIES.
The Acholi people trace their heritage to Acholiland, a region spanning northern Uganda and South Sudan. Our identity lives through the Acholi language, oral traditions, music, dance, family ties, respect for elders, and a deep spirit of community.
In Colorado, we carry those traditions forward while making space for new experiences. We help children and young adults understand their roots, invite neighbors to learn with us, and celebrate the many stories that shape our community.
